Five independent gambling-help organisations are linked from every page of this site, this one included. They are the one part of the site with no commercial purpose. Gambling should stay a paid-for pastime and never become a way to make money. The advice below is meant to keep it that way, and to show you where to turn if it stops being fun.
Where can I find independent help from this page?
The help links on this page, repeated on every other page of the site, lead to these organisations:
- BeGambleAware
- Gamble Aware
- Gambling Therapy
- G GamCare Gambling Support: Starts Here
- NCPG
Each is an independent source of help. Unlike the operator links, these links carry no sponsored marking. They are set to nofollow and open in a separate tab on the organisation's own website. This site receives nothing when you follow one. The eighteen-and-over restriction is repeated throughout the site, including on the front page. Nobody's age is verified here and no gambling takes place on these pages, so any age check happens at the destination you visit.
How do I keep gambling within limits I can afford?
Decide the amount before you start, while you are calm and not yet caught up in the game. A figure chosen mid-session tends to stretch.
Treat that amount as already spent, like the price of a concert ticket. If you think of it as an investment, every loss starts to feel like a debt the next round must repay.
Never chase a loss. Each round is independent, so a bigger stake does not make a win more likely. It only makes the next loss larger.
Keep gambling out of borrowed money, whether that means credit, loans or funds set aside for bills. Borrowing turns entertainment spending into a debt that keeps going after the session ends.
Take breaks. Time away lets you check whether you are still enjoying yourself or just continuing out of momentum.
What should I do if it stops feeling like entertainment?
Involve someone else early: a friend, a relative, or one of the organisations listed above. Problems are easier to manage before they grow, and saying something out loud makes it harder to explain it away.
Controls such as caps on deposits or losses, reality checks, cooling-off periods and self-exclusion are arranged by you inside an account at the destination. This site has no account, form or server-side application, so nothing published here can switch one on, check one or enforce one.
You will also not be targeted here because of how you behave. No advertising or behavioural profiling network is present in these pages. The site sets no cookies and shares no visitor data with advertising networks or data brokers. It counts only page views and outbound clicks, and only for visits that arrive from a search engine.
